Kohli has had a very poor record for RCB as captain. He has been captaining since 2013 but has not been able to win the team title even once. After 2016, the RCB team had qualified in the play-offs last year. In 2017 and 2019, he was at the bottom of the points table while in 2018 the team finished sixth. However, as a batsman, the IPL 2016 season was very good for Kohli. He had scored 973 runs during that time. After that only in 2018 Kohli could reach beyond 500 runs. In the IPL 2021 season, he has an average of 33 in seven matches, which includes just one half-century.
