In the drugs case, Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant, including Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, are in the custody of NCB till 7 October. In the court, on behalf of Aryan, the country’s well-known lawyer Satish Manshinde argued in his favor, while on the other hand, Additional Solicitor General Anil C Singh and lawyer Advait Sethna supported the NCB. During the proceedings of the court yesterday, a heated argument was seen between both the sides.
In the court, an appeal was made on behalf of the Narcotics Control Bureau to increase the custody of the three including Aryan Khan. Let us tell you in a sequential manner that on what grounds NCB’s counsel sought extension of custody and in response to which arguments were made by Satish Manshinde-
At the beginning of the case, ASG Anil C Singh, who was representing NCB, tried to show Aryan Khan’s case as Riya Chakraborty. He said that the involvement of Aryan Khan can also be seen in this case, on which a protest was lodged on behalf of Satish Manshinde. He said that both Aryan and Riya are completely different cases.
The ASG said that “drugs were recovered from the ship.” On this, it was argued on behalf of Manshinde that “the ship is not mine. Then you should have arrested thousands of other people on the ship as well”. After this Manshinde again said, “It is not established that I had relations with the people on the ship”.
After this the ASG questioned, “Then why was Aryan on the ship?” To which it was said that “It does not mean that he was distributing number 1. If he wants, he can buy a ship but…” On this Manshinde stopped him midway. There was a heated argument between the two sides in the court.
Court asks NCB why they need Aryan’s custody? To this the ASG replied that they “Aryan Khan’s custody is needed because he wants to know why he was invited to the party and in which cabin he stayed.” To this Manshinde said that “Aryan does not need to sell drugs on the ship, and why did he go on the ship, it is not for the NCB, he can buy the ship if he wants.”
ASG argued for drug chat and some objectionable things from Aryan’s phone, to which Manshinde said that serious allegations are being leveled against Aryan on behalf of NCB. Courts can also see those chats. Nothing of the sort has happened to them. He said that if Aryan’s case is non-bailable, then NCB will have to give concrete evidence. Drugs found with others cannot be considered theirs.
Apart from this, many types of arguments were given in the court. NCB wanted Aryan Khan’s custody on October 11 but he Custody was given till 7 October.
