Some time back Bhuvi got married with his childhood friend Nupur. Both often share their pictures with each other on social media. Both were in a relationship for a long time, after which they finally tied the knot on 23 November 2017 in Meerut. It was the same day when fast bowler Zaheer Khan and actress Sagarika Ghatge got married. The couple held a reception party at the Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi, where many players including Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma had arrived.
Recently Bhuvneshwar Kumar reached the chat show ‘Breakfast with Champions’, where he had a candid conversation with the show’s host Gaurav Kapoor. Talking about his love story, Bhuvi said that I have known him since childhood. We lived in the same colony. We have known each other since we were 12-13 years old. The parents took some time but they finally accepted the relationship.
The bowler said that after our parents agreed, we decided to get married. For the first 3-4 years our parents had no idea about us. I said nothing. They actually got to know someone else. It’s good that they found out, I might not have had the courage to tell them myself. Let us tell you that Bhuvneshwar’s cricket career has been brilliant and he is currently considered one of the best bowlers in the country.
