    Demand for making Rohit Sharma the captain

    Speculation has been rife for some time over Kohli’s future as captain of the white-ball team, especially given Rohit Sharma’s stellar record in the Indian Premier League, in which he has led Mumbai Indians to five titles.

    The 34-year-old Rohit is the vice-captain of the Indian team in the limited overs format and is likely to play the role of T20 captain. When India play a home series against New Zealand in November, which includes two Test matches along with three T20 Internationals.
