An outbreak of COVID-19 in Nagaon, Assam’s Ramanujan Junior College – after 6-students and the Principal of the College tested positive for the virus.
The development was reported today after 23-persons were tested for the infection, wherein 7-were found to be positive. All of them are now directed to be quarantined.
Those who had contact with the infected are also directed to get themselves tested and isolate for at least 7-days.
The COVID-Positive patients are admitted to Nagaon Civil Hospital.
Confirmed a source from the Institution, the District Authority of Nagaon instructed verbally to shut down the Institution for a week. Soon, an order declaring it to be a containment zone is likely to be issued.
